Before Renovation
Before work began, the basement bathroom and concrete floors showed the wear typical of an older utility basement. Oakbuild documented the existing conditions before starting the bathroom upgrades, drywall work, mechanical-equipment removal and epoxy-floor preparation.

Work in Progress
Selected basement wall and ceiling areas were opened, prepared and rebuilt as required. Drywall work included fitting new board around existing framing and services, followed by joint treatment and preparation for finishing.

Bathroom Remodeling
The basement bathroom was refreshed to create a cleaner and more practical space. Existing serviceable components were retained where appropriate, while the surrounding finishes and floor were upgraded as part of the overall basement renovation.

Decorative Epoxy Flooring
The basement concrete floor was prepared and finished with a decorative speckled epoxy system. The coating provides a seamless, easy-to-clean finish well suited to basement utility, laundry, mechanical and bathroom areas while giving the older basement a noticeably brighter and more finished appearance.

Removal of Obsolete Mechanical Equipment
Very old furnace-related equipment and the associated tank were removed to recover usable basement space and simplify the utility area. Work was coordinated around the active heating, plumbing, water-heating and duct systems that remained in service.
Project Outcome
The completed work upgraded the basement without unnecessarily rebuilding serviceable areas. The bathroom was refreshed, selected hallway wall and ceiling surfaces were completed, obsolete equipment was removed, and the decorative epoxy floor created a durable and consistent finish throughout the renovated basement utility areas.
